Transfer of Copyright

Upon acceptance of the manuscript ("the work") the author(s) will transfer to Victoria University of Technology (the publisher of "JIPAM") absolutely the copyright he or she may have in the work.

The author(s) will be required to state that they own the copyright of the work to the extent that they can effectively give the above transfer free of any title, or other claim, of any third person.

The author(s) shall not publish the work in any other journal, whether electronic or otherwise, in the same or substantially the same form as the work, without acknowledging prior publication in this journal.

Rights of the author

Upon transfer of copyright to Victoria University of Technology, publisher of JIPAM, the author retains the following rights:

  1. Patent and trademark rights and rights to any process or procedure described in the work.

  2. The right to photocopy or make single electronic copies of the work for their own personal use, including for their own classroom use, or for the personal use of colleagues, provided the copies are not offered for sale

  3. The right to post the electronic version of their published work on one personal web site. This may include the author’s own single “home page” but not in any other systematic way outside the author’s employing institution (e.g. via an email list or public file server).
