This article describes some additional commands to enhance the quality of tables in LaTeX. Guidelines are given as to what constitutes a good table in this context. Version 1.61 of the booktabs package adds some enhancements to the 1995 release, most notably longtable compatibility. The authors are Danie Els and Simon Fear.
