                    ABSTRACT.

 The function
is strictly decreasing on , the function
  is strictly
increasing on , and the function
is strictly increasing on , respectively.
From these, some inequalities, for example, the Minc-Sathre
inequality, are deduced, and two open problems posed by the second
author are solved partially.
