This special issue is dedicated to the intriguing ramifications of non-commutative algebra in probability, analysis and data science, as reflected in the following topics:
It is related to the conference held in honour of Michael Schürmann on the occasion of the retirement from his professorship at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Greifswald, Germany. The conference took place at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg in Greifswald, from 20–25 September, 2021. The speakers and participants of the conference are invited to submit papers to the special issue. We want to emphasise that all manuscripts in this special issue should be original, although exceptional survey articles will be considered. There is no limit to the length of an article. Deadline for paper submission is February 28, 2022. How to Submit an Article to the Issue. All articles will go through the standard peer reviewing procedure of SIGMA. If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. The reviewing process starts once the paper is submitted and we will publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue.
